Congleton Climate Festival

Congleton Climate Festival & Green Fayre 30th September

Climate Change and Nature emergencies are huge problems. It is everyone’s problem. We are all part of the solution. Please take some time over the Climate Festival and Green Fayre to explore the issues further and see how you can help be part of the solution. Many people are keen to speak with you, share experiences, and discuss ways forward.

We look forward to seeing you at the Fayre and some of the events. Note some events have number limits so you may need to book your place.

Green Fayre 30th September

We Have the Power to Impact Our Future, and We’re Doing Something About It

The world is experiencing more extreme weather conditions: intense heat, drought, floods and storms. The polar ice caps are melting. Global temperatures are up by 1.2 0C and increasing by 0.2 0C per decade. At the same time, the planet is also facing a nature emergency with a million of the nine million species facing extinction.

In the face of such extreme odds, you can wonder about the part you play. First, it’s about education, understanding the problem and then the practical steps we can all take to reduce our carbon foot.

The Climate Festival and Green Fayre is a chance to explore the issues and solutions the town has to offer. This has been organised by Congleton Partnership’s sustainability group and Congleton Town Council’s Green Working Group.
