Finance

Linda took us through the accounts which are attached with the minutes.

£500 from the William Dean trust signs for the Fairground garden, still waiting for Capital Walk to finish the final phase so we can work with them to improve the green space, all plants were rescued.

Green Fayre 24th September

Include stalls for selling Apple trees and collecting apples, bring along the small apple press as a demonstration. Cheshire Kids Clothes Swap and Congleton’s Repair Café are being held in the town hall.

CSG subgroups Food4Free, Plastic Free Congleton, Eco-Schools, and Trees for Congleton will all be represented at the event.

Volunteer Events

Trees for Congleton group will be starting up soon and will be appealing for Volunteers. They also need new sites for planting. Contact Patti / Ruth. The tree planting season is getting shorter and shorter, with bad weather (mid-nov to mid-March). We are waiting to see what will happen with the Queen’s Canopy.

Princes Trust is looking for projects they can assist with, might be worth contacting them.

Active Travel

Peter H – We are trying to resurrect the group, it’s at a very embryonic stage at the moment.

The Cargo Bike is now up and running. Working with New Leaf to create a delivery service around town
