Aim: To help fight obesity and  encourage healthier living by increasing active play through advertising our many excellent play areas using  signage and leaflet.

Objective.

Signposting completed Spring 2017

 Flyers produced and distributed around all primary schools,” Stuff 2  To-day, TIC and CTC Website.

Looking to further raise the profile of the sites by Website /Flyers and some events/activities during summer 2018

J.Money worked with M Greave CEBC Partnership team on a   Play Day event 14th Aug 2018 in Congleton Town Centre. Great event, look to repeat next Easter.

Joint working with CEBC  (Matt Smith) on a redevelopment of both Townsend Rd and West St play areas, may widen the usage scope.  (S106 monies)

 

The project now includes:-

Complete refurb of West St to good as new standard, plus some railing removal and 2 x picnic seating on the grassed area. Knee high railing to separate the grass area from the hard standing play area.

Townsend Rd. Repaint swings, add new seats, new springers, new equipment in the bunker” areas. Small trim trail above bunker areas. Install a goalmouth on the flat area.

Marshall Grove. Replace damaged springy and repair surface shrinkage.

Quinta Park. A possible adult gym is added to the refurbished play area.
