Trees for Congleton – Completed Sites

Here you can see the public open spaces where we have planted since 2019.  In each case, local residents were consulted before planting was carried out, and a majority of those who responded supported the proposals.  There may still be opportunities for more planting on some of them – if so, there will be a new consultation.

After the first year the new planting is maintained by Congleton Town Council’s Streetscape team which already looks after green spaces in the town. Cheshire East Council (Ansa) is involved with general maintenance, mainly grass cutting, on some sites. If you’d like to help with care and enhancement there is an opportunity to become a Friend of each green space.  Learn more below.

Many of these green spaces have also been selected by the Town Council for biodiversity enhancement – see https://www.congleton-tc.gov.uk/biodiversity/.

Would you like to be a friend of a green space?

We would love local residents to become ‘friends’ of the trees and plants planted. A ‘friend’ would keep an eye on the green space and report any changes, damage or problems to Congleton Town Council.

Please fill in the form with your contact details and the green space you are referring to, and a member of the team will be in touch.
