Overview 2018/19.
Steve gave a brief overview of projects that had taken place / were still active across all of the subgroups. This was not an exhaustive list but a sample/range of the activities The Partnership is involved in.
Neighbourhood Plan (3 members chairing groups) Art Workshops Apple Juice / Cider Senior Forum/ Senior Health & Wellbeing Fayre Eco Schools (14 green flags) Hydro Scheme (Havannah) SLIC courses Cenotaph Restoration Play Area Signage / Leaflets/Fun Day Commenting Team / Planning / Developers (P.Minshull) Town Centre Destination Signage Youth Forum PB Award to work on Mental Health & Substance Misuse Dementia Awareness Steering Group Old Saw Mill Townsend Rd/ West St & Quinta Play area improvements. Cycle Route development. Connected Communities ( 4 centres in Congleton now up and running)
Dementia Friendly Congleton 4 quarterly leaflets produced. 802 Dementia Friends. 35 Businesses/ Window Stickers. Dementia Buddy Scheme / Lions. Play Area Leaflet/ Fun Day 27th Aug Fun Day/Consultation. Update/PR of Play Area Leaflet. 3 major play area improvements.
Cenotaph Renovation Starts 2020 Spring 200+ missing names. Improve appearance /landscaping. Lighting / power.
Margaret’s Fund £12K grants made over two years. 18 applicants received funds. Book presented to each applicant.
Congleton Community Wellbeing Fayre 1st October 10am to 1pm 50+ Exhibitors/ Free to all Wider spread of exhibitors 150 residents attended 2018
5 Towns Walking Trail/Map New Trail Linking 5 Towns Working with ramblers Leaflet / Signage
Mini Bus Development 20+ regular users 170 trips to 31st Aug. New legislation / Breakeven Youth Forum PB Project – Mental Health/ Substance Misuse New contacts/ services to schools |
Glen closed the AGM by thanking Steve for his contribution and moving The Partnership on by bringing in new groups and organisations.
Glen currently had no firm plans yet for the next 12 months other than to continue the fantastic work we have as a partnership done in the past, he believes the town is much richer for our existence.
He plans to meet up individually with all of the group chairs to discuss their plans and requirements for support and funding to be able to deliver their projects.
